Rick Lima is a founder of Wealth Partners Alliance. Rick has over 20 years of experience in wealth management and the investment management industry. He brings to the firm a deep understanding of portfolio management.

Rick began his career as an investment executive for RBC Dain Raucher in 1999. Since then, he has held portfolio manager titles at some of the largest wealth management firms, including Bank of America, Morgan Stanley and, most recently, UBS Financial Services in 2011.

Rick helped found Wealth Partners Alliance on the belief of a better-disciplined investment philosophy for individuals and families. Rick brings experience of best-practice portfolio construction and actively managed discretionary portfolios tailored to the client’s needs.

Rick designed the total return investment philosophy and process for Wealth Partners Alliance. Rick’s expertise is in simplifying the complex, from both an investment and planning perspective. He and his team strive to help families focus on simplification with customized sophistication, answering the question clients often ask: “What am I missing?”

In addition to client interaction, Rick and the firm’s process is to engage and align clients with their outside advisors, including attorneys, tax professionals and trustees, to provide a family-office level of expertise and experience.

Originally from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Rick moved to Dallas, Texas, to attend Southern Methodist University, where he received a bachelor’s degree in economics. He later earned an MBA in corporate finance from the University of Dallas.

Rick is active in his community, volunteering with the Moody Family YMCA youth sports programs, Men of St. Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church ministry, and as a mentor and externship volunteer at Southern Methodist University’s Hegi Family Career Development Center. Rick and his wife, Angie, have three children (two boys and a girl).
